Adriana Fangmann

Adriana Fangmann is a mother, researcher and manager and has over 20 years of experience. Argentinean, she lived in England and today lives in Brazil since 1992. An experienced traveller, she speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish fluently.
While still a biology student, she worked in a pituitary gland research at the Neurophysiology Laboratory of the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine. After graduation, she founded with Maria Pisana (Ph.D.) a research project on the use of medicinal plants and traditional healing practices in the Argentine countryside. The project has been replicated in the Lakes area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a result of this project, she was invited to move to England, where she started a Ph.D. in Shamanism at Sussex University. In 1992 she moved to Parati, RJ, Brazil and worked in an environmental education program for children, Ecolinho, at the ECOTV. In Parati, she also started a medicinal plant garden at the local hospital with the paediatric team for the use of medicinal plants in primary health care. She continues to study the medicinal plants of the Atlantic tropical forest and has worked with Maly Caran offering trainings on how to recognize, grow, use and prepare medicines and cosmetics with medicinal plants. She also developed a project at the Pandavas School in Monteiro Lobato, São Paulo, to teach children 10 to 15 years old about the use and cultivation of medicinal plants.
Working in the hospitality industry, she creates a passion for meticulous processes of the luxury segment. She was Director of Serenity Spa Zen Company where she met Soon Hee. Adriana brings to the brand the careful and friendly management as well as the expertise in traditional medicine based on medicinal plants and sustainability, both fundamental principles of Extraordinários Botanicals™.
